It's ROBYN!

Hey guys it's blogger #2 :) My name is Robyn and I have been 100% natural since September 22nd! I transistioned for 6 months and then I finally cut it off and it was the most liberating thing ever! I chose to go natural because I was tired of breakage and I wanted to experience my natural texture. It was time for a change. I am a college student on a budget and going natural can be a tad bit expensive and takes a little bit of time. But it gets easier :) I get 99% of my products from Walgreens and my hair is growing beautifully! You just have to be patient and don't get up. It's worth it :)

Our Routine

On Sundays I wash with Bioinfusions Olive Oil shampoo (sulfate free). I then deep condition using Bioinfusions deep conditioner. I let sit on my head for an hour (while I clean). After I rinse it out, I put a little coconut oil (or olive oil), I braid (or twist) it wet , put my satin bonnet on and go to sleep.

I cowash (wash with conditioner) about twice a week using Herbal Essence Totally Twisted conditioner.

Every morning all I do is rewet my hair and throw in some 100% coconut oil.

My routine is pretty simple. I only use two products for my locks (dont want to risk a bunch of build-up). I use Santa Cruz organic lemon juice (can be found at Ultra Foods) for a little under $5) and a moisturizer called "Nature's Blessings". I spray the lemon juice in my hair twice a day, usually after I'm out of the shower and a few hours before I go to bed. (lemon juice helps the locks stay tighter and it helps the hair to lock faster). I only use the moisturizer maybe twice during the 4 week period because it keeps the hair pretty moist and I dont want to overdo it!
